Daigny 2010

Our 'Event Season' has pretty much drawn to a close now for 2010, and what a year its been! The last event we attended with a UK contingent was in Daigny, France. This was the first time this had been organised for 2CV's and with wonderful sunshine the weekend was fantastic. The area had a varied amount of obstacles as well as woodland tracks. Plenty for all the cars. A huge thank you goes to the RAID 2CV TEAM who organised a fantastic event. A few photographs can be found in the gallery. There will be some video footage from studioru in due course.

Unfortunately we could not attend this years Villevenard meeting in France... However we do hear that it was, as usual, an awesome weekend. Please take a chance to watch Jisse Raid's excellent slideshow on the gallery page

Abingdon 4x4 Festival 2010

A couple of Barbour 4x4 cars attended the Abingdon 4x4 Festival 2010. This event is an extremely well organised off road 'celebration' with all profits going to charity. They have an excellent off road course of roughly five miles in length. There are easy and hard sections so that all cars from road versions to 4x4 monsters can enjoy themselves.

Needless to say the reaction the Barbour cars got was quite amazing. Nobody could quite believe their eyes as we managed to tackle the hard parts of the course. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the atmosphere was very friendly. As the pictures and various video materialise we will post links on the website. In the meantime here is a video showing the 2CV's near the beginning of the footage VIDEO

We will definitely return in 2011!

Happy New Year!

Here at Barbour 4x4 we wish you all a prosperous and enjoyable 2010. A new decade is upon us and we are very excited about the year ahead.

Our plans for new 2WD chassis' have already been put into place and construction is starting. 4x4 kit improvements are being discussed and parts sourced. We are also going to add a small amount of merchandise and team wear to the site.

We have two events already in the diary; Morvan TT Deuches 2010 and the French National Meeting 2010. We will be setting up our display tent at the French National Meeting so please put the date in your diary and come and say hello.

On a more sombre note, Rupert's planned trip to Cameroon by 2CV has been called off. Unfortunately the Foreign Office stopped all charity rallies from driving through Mauritania due to the very real terrorist threats from Al Qaeda.. To read an official statement from Rupert then please go here.
